Church Environment Ministry

Mission Statement:  The Church Environment Ministry creates an atmosphere that enhances the worshipping assembly’s celebration of their faith through the visual beauty of the Church’s environment.  This environment also heightens the awareness of the festive, solemn, or the penitential nature of the various liturgical seasons.  The members meet seasonally (liturgical seasons) to plan, coordinate times, gather resources, and create materials.  The members also maintain the Church environment (water plants, arrange them, and or replaced).  As always we encourage and invite new members to help our Parish in sharing their ideas and talents.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist

Mission Statement:
We are special ministers of the Eucharist. We assist Priests and Deacons in the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass.  In doing so the Eucharistic Minister brings the central part of the mass, the Body and Blood of Christ to God’s people who come to receive the Lord at mass.  To participate, you must be fully initiated into the Church, not under any type of canonical restriction, registered in the Parish and be an active participant in the sacramental life of the Church.  Please see Pastoral Care for the Eucharist taken to the homebound, hospitalized, or in nursing homes.

Music Ministry

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Music Ministry of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Community strives to enhance the worship experience of all parishioners through prayerful music. We firmly believe in St. Augustine’s admonition that ‘he who sings, prays twice!’ Our objective as musicians is to inspire prayer through music and to encourage praise and worship by inviting the assembly to be active singing participants during our liturgies.

Lector Ministry

Mission Statement:
The Lector proclaims the Word of God to the church assembly. OLPH Parish has been blessed with many members who have answered this call. It is through the liturgy that the faithful are enabled to express in their lives and manifest to others the mystery of Christ and the real nature of the true Church. To participate, you must be 14 years of age, fully initiated into the Church, not under any type of canonical restriction, registered in the Parish and be an active participant in the sacramental life of the Church.

Liturgy Committee

Mission Statement:
The Parish Liturgy Committee serves as an advisory body to the pastor.  Members, along with the pastor, provide ongoing liturgical formation of the worshipping assembly.  The committee also assesses the needs of the assembly and evaluates the liturgical celebrations.


ushersMinistry Leader:

Mission Statement:
The ministry leader schedules Ushers for special events, ie; Holy Days, Confirmation, First Communion, etc;

Ushers conduct the following activities:  Make sure Church is ready for Mass, lights on, doors unlocked, fans on; greet Parishioners; identify those who need special assistance; select people to bring up gifts; take count of attendees; take collection; assist people going to Communion; after Mass, pass out bulletins; secure building, lock up, turn lights and fans off; at special events, follow instructions of Priest.
