There is a lot of foul language going around. Person to person, online and through television. There are movies and TV programs of suburban children cursing their parents as a normal part of family life. Parents, entertainment and school kids call out the name ‘of our lord Jesus Christ’ in vain, vanity, and vulgarity.
What does this reveal about us and our society? The word of God tells us that when we speak, our faults appear. "From the fullness of the heart, the mouth speaks." If the heart is full of evil, we speak evil. If our heart is full of confusion, we speak confusion and If our heart is full of goodness, we speak what is good.
From the fullness of the sacred heart of Jesus God speaks, and what God says, saying Jesus, Is what we see and hear and do at every mass and sacrament.
And God said of all creation and of you and me: It is very Good.
Hay mucho lenguaje grosero circulando, de persona a persona, en Internet y a través de la televisión. Hay películas y programas de televisión en los que los niños de los suburbios maldicen a sus padres como parte normal de la vida familiar. Los padres, los niños del mundo del espectáculo y los niños de la escuela gritan el nombre de “nuestro Señor Jesucristo” en vano, con vanidad y vulgaridad.
¿Qué revela esto sobre nosotros y nuestra sociedad? La palabra de Dios nos dice que cuando hablamos, aparecen nuestras faltas. “De la plenitud del corazón habla la boca”. Si el corazón está lleno de maldad, hablamos mal. Si nuestro corazón está lleno de confusión, hablamos confusión y si nuestro corazón está lleno de bondad, hablamos lo que es bueno.
Del corazón sagrado de Jesús habla Dios, y lo que Dios dice, diciendo Jesús, es lo que vemos, oímos y hacemos en cada misa y sacramento.
Y Dios dijo de toda la creación y de ti y de mí: Es muy bueno
