Call him Yeshua – God saves! His Brand is Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, (Is. 9:6), suffering servant.
Welcome to the Incarnation: God has become one of us.
If God had a name what would it be? And would you call it to his face? If you were faced with Him in all His glory What would you ask if you had just one question?
And yeah, yeah, God is great Yeah, yeah, God is good Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
What if God was one of us? [Just a boy or girl like any one of us] Just a stranger on the bus Tryin' to make his way home? (Joan Osborne, One of Us)
Baby Jesus by his death and resurrection fulfills the hope of the Hebrew Christians: Luke, Matthew, Mark and John, Peter, Paul and James.
The hope of Maria, Mary, Joanna, and Suzanna. The hope of Martha, Elizabeth and Pricilla.
The women in the genealogy of Baby Jesus -Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and the wife of Uriah- have their hope realized in the child of Maria, wife of Joseph the carpenter.
For these women Baby Jesus by his death and resurrection, fulfills the prophetic hope and establishes the new Covenant promised from Sarah and Abraham to you and to me living in the United States of America in this year 2022-23.
Call him Yeshua – God saves! His Brand is Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, (Is. 9:6), suffering servant. But to me he is my elder brother; God become one of us
As Catholic citizens of the U.S., how is this wonderful child of Mary and St. Joe, connected to our active discipleship in Atlantic County, 2022-23?
It is written:
“We the people of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect union, establish Justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the Blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America” June 21, 1788.
If, this is the prophetic hope of We the People, a hope that has been amended 27 times, how is it connected to the hope we celebrate in Baby Jesus, his death and resurrection? God become a boy or girl like any one of us.
Each of us in the bath of rebirth signed and seal in the Name of Jesus, has a physical and spiritual connection to the Word made flesh in Baby Jesus.
In this book [Baptism Sacramental book] is recorded the beginning, the ending and the eternal record of your connection to our Lord and savior Jesus the Christ.
By the priest or deacon who baptized you, to the bishop who ordained them, to the pope who named the bishop to St. Peter and St. Paul who walked the walk and talked the talk, you are connected, named, and known to Christ, King of the Multiverse. God who become o
ne of us -spiritually connected.
In the image and likeness of God you were made, a royal dignity and priestly vocation you have.
Child of God you are, born through water, fire and blood by that Holy Spirit that invited mother Mary to dance. And she said yes.
Yes despite the people of the Lie who in the darkness of the systems of the World walks; you are the imprint of the being of God and your soul shines and sings the greatness of Our God, your existence proclaims the victorious glory of God!
Suffering servants you may be, lifted up with good good things the almighty has done with you, marvelous wonderful!
Receive at holy communion who you are. Word made flesh.
Become what you receive. Word made flesh of your flesh and bone of your bone -God become one of us.
We the people, revealed as the body of Christ become
Light in the darkness, sword of the spirit, geared up in the Gospel,
Disciples of the Good News of Baby Jesus, his death and resurrection!
God become one of us.
